  • Do you do site visits?
    If you are planning an event, then yes, we would love to show you around! You can book a site visit with us by clicking the below link. Book a venue tour
  • What are your capacities?
    Depending on your event we can comfortably accommodate between 2 and 120 guests.
  • Are there noise restrictions?
    Yes, we do have noise restrictions as our neighbours aren’t too far away. Subwoofers and acoustic drum kits aren’t permitted, but electric drums are fine. We’ll conduct noise level readings throughout the night, and our team will work closely with your entertainment to ensure levels remain within the allowed range.
  • When do we need to pack out?
    Any items and any leftover BYO items should be collected the following day between 9:00 am and 10:00 am.
  • Are you still open to the public like in the past?
    Unfortunately not, we are now exclusively a function and event venue.
  • Do you still sell waterlilies?
    Unfortunately we do not, nor do we have plans to at this stage. This may change in the future, we will update our website if this changes.
  • When can we set up the venue?
    Provided we do not have an event on the day before your event, you are welcome to come in the afternoon before, after 2.30pm. You’ll also have access to the venue from 10:30 am on the day of your event.
  • Do we have to use your vendor partners, or can we bring in our own?
    You’re welcome to bring in any vendors you like. However, we recommend that if your photographer hasn’t visited The Waterlily Gardens before, you arrange for them to do a tour. With 15 acres of breathtaking photo spots, it’s helpful for them to know the best locations to capture your special moments.
  • Do you have a list of vendors who have worked at The Waterlily Gardens before?
    Yes, we do! We have a selection of amazing vendor partners who come highly recommended by past customers and with who we enjoy working. You can explore their services here.
  • Can we bring our own catering?
    Unfortunately, no. Our food license doesn’t permit outside catering. However, our in-house team is exceptional and will provide all the catering you need.
  • Is BYO drinks allowed?
    Yes, absolutely! The host is welcome to supply alcohol, though guest BYO is not permitted. There is a fixed corkage fee of $2,500.
  • Do you accommodate dietary requirements?
    Yes, we do. Just let us know the dietary needs and where those guests will be seated. We’ll adjust the main meal options accordingly.
  • Can we take home any leftover food?
    Unfortunately, no. Due to our food license and safety regulations, leftover food cannot be taken off-site.
  • Can we bring our own cake?
    Yes absolutely, this is the only external food you can bring onsite. Whether it’s a wedding cake, or birthday cake, you’re welcome to bring in your own cake to celebrate your special occasion.
  • Do you charge a cakeage fee?
    No, our team will be happy to assist with its presentation and serving. If you have specific requirements for how you’d like the cake to be displayed or cut, just let us know, and we’ll ensure everything is taken care of.
  • Do children's meals cost the same as adult meals?
    Children under 2 eat for free, while those aged 2-10 are charged at 50% of the adult meal price.
  • Do you have highchairs available?
    Yes, we have two highchairs available.
  • What are your capacities for weddings?
    We can comfortably accommodate between 60 and 120 guests for weddings. If you are after something smaller and more intimate, check out our elopement and intimate options
  • Is there onsite accommodation?
    Yes, The Waterlily Gardens offers two cottages on-site. The Lilypad Cottage, which sleeps four, is included in your wedding package for the night before your wedding, providing a beautiful space to get ready on the day of. The Lotus Cottage, which sleeps two, is reserved for the bride and groom on the night of your wedding, offering a romantic retreat.
  • What is your wet weather plan?
    While we always aim to host your ceremony outdoors in the gardens, in the unfortunate event of rain, we have a stunning alternative. We’ll flip the marquee, and your ceremony will be held in the top half, facing the gardens. The view is beautifully moody and romantic, with the rain adding a touch of magic as you look out over the lush greenery.
  • How do we confirm our booking?
    Once you decide to proceed with The Waterlily Gardens, we will hold your date for 7 days, once a 50% venue hire deposit is received your date and venue are secure.
  • Do we have to use your vendor partners, or can we bring in our own?
    You’re welcome to bring in any vendors you like. However, we recommend that if your photographer hasn’t visited The Waterlily Gardens before, you arrange for them to do a tour.   • Do we get a venue rehearsal, and when is it?
    Yes, your rehearsal will be held the afternoon before your wedding, between 2:30 pm and 4:00 pm. The rehearsal typically takes about an hour. We recommend having your entire bridal/groom party, your MC, and anyone handling music present. Please note that your celebrant doesn’t need to attend this rehearsal, as we’ll focus on the timing of the bridal walk and other venue-specific details. If you’d like a separate ceremony rehearsal with your celebrant, that can be arranged afterward on-site.
  • When can we decorate the venue?
    After your rehearsal, the marquee will be left open for you to begin decorating. You’ll also have access to the venue from 10:30 am on the day of your wedding.
  • When do we need to pack out?
    Your decorations, florals, gifts, and any leftover BYO items should be collected the following day between 9:00 am and 11:00 am.
  • Are there noise restrictions?
